SPEAKING AT REBELUTION NYC

Happy Thursday wonderful people!

Sometimes It’s like I have to trick myself into feeling like I belong or am successful. Almost like I’m faking it. Good old imposter syndrome right there to haunt me every single time. Ridiculous! Who can relate?

Sometimes you can’t dream for yourself in a moment, and might pass up an opportunity of a lifetime, you have to force yourself to dream for someone and shift your perspective.

If you know me or have been following along with my wild adventure here on social media you’ll know that I’m all about the real talk. The hard conversations. Taking risks. It’s important that I challenge myself constantly... what can I do to improve? Why am I doing things a certain way? Is it because I’ve been told that’s just the way it is or because I am overthinking? What will happen if I go against the grain and succeed? No matter where I’m at, I promise to keep the dialogue open with you and share my story along the way.

Here’s the thing: I’ve been asked to speak on a panel in NYC at @rebelutionresurge hosted by @modernrebelandco in one week from today. To a room full of wedding industry disrupters! I’ll be sharing my story about having a wedding go viral and taking that leap to market myself as an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer back in 2013 when it wasn’t super visible and honestly, when I wasn’t super visible or comfortable in my own skin. Both terrifying and vastly rewarding! On this panel we will be having conversations about why it’s important to use our voices and platforms to be more inclusive.

Stoked to be talking with such incredible people doing big things in the industry: @onceuponavow @blackbride1998 @dancingwithher. Thank YOU for being here with me and for the constant love & support. Couldn’t do this with you! Xo
