Seeing that the iconic rainbow crosswalks that run across Cedar Springs in the Oak Lawn neighborhood [ the gayborhood 🌈 ] of Dallas may soon be returned to boring old black & white reminded me to post these images from a Toyota campaign I shot back in 2024. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ The importance of queer representation cannot be overstated. It plays a crucial role in shaping perceptions, fostering acceptance, and promoting understanding & love. By seeing ourselves reflected in everyday life, individuals within the LGBTQ+ community can feel validated and empowered, ultimately leading to a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. Plus, you know we’ll just keep repainting them. Miserable people can’t keep us down. Thankful for this crew & clients who want to support the queer community year round…not just during Pride Month.
